Prices for photography were all over the place. We want our album to be something we can leave out for everyone to see. This was also something really important to us. Some of the ones we really liked didn't work out, because they didn't make albums, or made low-quality albums. We looked at probably fifteen photographers all over Northeast Ohio. After the craziness of the day, we want to be sure that we have some way to remember everything.įor style, we definitely wanted something more modern and less posed, basically completely unlike what all of our parents had (sorry Mom!). For both Brian and I, this was a very important piece of our wedding. I won't be posting pictures of the dress I choose until after the wedding, because it's a secret ] They might be more excited about this than I am. It makes it a win-win for everyone.Īnd for the fun and interesting news, I will be going wedding dress shopping next weekend with my mom, my sister Marina, my maid of honor Andrea, and my good friend David. So our creative solution is, we're going to get a tent (and some kids activities) that we can put just off the reception area and hire two professional childcare providers to watch over them while everyone eats and does toasts. And don't get me wrong, I love those kids, but there are just SO many. Between Brian's family and mine, there were about 50 kids. Then, when we got the finalized guest lists from our parents, we realized that all of them decided to have kids in the exact same few years. End result: the hall will work out and it will be okay. I also tried calling about 40 other places, who were all either booked, or you needed to use their catering, which would put us out a lot of money, and we'd lose the caterer we love.

So we drove down to the hall, had to literally measure everything out, and figure out how to make it work. Then, I find out that the hall actually might not hold 400, which sends me into complete wedding panic mode. First, our parents kept adding and removing people from the list, which would fudge the tally of people. And you would think that having 400 people would make it easier, but it really did not at all. We didn't want to do them in a field or something, because we don't usually hang out in fields.

We will be taking them in Cleveland, since we both love urban areas, and want our photos to reflect who we are and what we do for fun. And if anyone is dying to see the dress, they can email me or call me and I can send photos.Īlso, Brian & I scheduled our engagement photo session for October 9, since Brian will be home that weekend. I want to show pictures and describe it, but obviously can't because Brian likes to stalk this blog as well.Īll I can say is it is perfect, I love it, and I will be officially purchasing it on Saturday. Apparently, I didn't originally want to try the dress on, because it looked funny in the bag, but my philosophy was that I would try on basically anything.Īnd the dress is absolutely GORGEOUS. It made everyone tear up and get weird, like usual. I found my dress about half way through the day. We had about an hour and a half per shop, including a short lunch break. I had a busy agenda, visiting five wedding dress shops in one day. I found my wedding dress :] I went wedding dress shopping with my Maid of Honor Andrea Hinton, best friend David Robinson, sister Marina, and my mom Desa.
